LEGO Super Heroes Launching in 2012

It's no secret that everything goes better with LEGO. The massive success of videogame franchises like LEGO Batman only serve to drive home the obvious fact that super heroes and LEGO go hand in hand.

And now, LEGO is taking thing to the next level, with the launch of LEGO Super Heroes, a partnership with DC and Marvel to bring the world's greatest super heroes down to size.

If you're at Comic-Con, be sure to stop by booth #2829 for a chance to score exclusive Batman and Green Lantern minifigs, and check out www.legosuperheroes.com for more info, and a chance to win monthly prizes or a grand prize trip to California for exclusive tours of Warner Bros. Studios, WB Animation and LEGOLAND©  California.

LEGO Green Lantern and Superman Appearing At Hero Complex Film Festival

LEGO artist Nathan Swaya will be displaying his Superman and Green Lantern sculptures at the upcoming Hero Complex Film Festival in Los Angeles. Sawaya is among the world's most respected LEGO artists, with works currently on exhibit in Paris and Melbourne.

Fans at the Hero Complex can pose for photos with Superman and GL while listening to announcements from Geoff Johns and Jim Lee that purportedly will be even more earth-shattering and controversial than what we've been hearing from DC these past few weeks - I honestly can't imagine anything more shocking than that Teen Titans cover, but thankfully Superman and GL will be on hand - in brick form, anyway - to handle any reboot announcement-related chaos.

Summer Movie Posters Done Lego-Style

With the arrival of Thor in US theaters, Summer movie season has officially begun. This is comics and sci-fi film's biggest year yet, with multiple franchises from each of the big two comics publishers expected to dominate the box office, not to mention the grand finale of the Harry Potter series and new entries from Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean.

I hope your local theater has good air-conditioning, 'cause we're going to be spending a lot of time at the movies.

Check out these awesome LEGO renditions of the posters for the biggest movies of the Summer.

Insanely Cool Lego Star Wars Ads

These creative, irreverent, and generally awesome ads drive home everything that makes Lego Star Wars so great. It's always nice when creative professionals actually get, you know, creative.

Kudos to the Escola Cuca Advertising School for creating this fun campaign, with the slogan "Make Your Own Story."

I'm off to go play with my Legos for a little while now.

Damned if these ads don't work!
