Green Lantern: The Animated Series made its debut late 2011, and that was the last we'd heard of Bruce Timm's latest foray into the DC Animated Universe - until now. Animation Magazine has these new screenshots of the first full season, along with news that it will officially kick off its 26 episode run in March 2012. Cat Scratch Fever: Dex-Starr Cosplay Kitteh

This adorable kitty's snarlface, combined with the fact that it's owner appears to be wearing some sort of super-protective sleeve amor while escorting it around the first annual Comickaze Expo, tells me that it has some real Red Lantern rage going on.

Robot Chicken Does 'Green Lantern'

Robot Chicken returned to Adult Swim on Sunday night, taking on many subjects ripe for the parodying, including Green Lantern. Any dignity Hal Jordan had left after pretty much flunking summer blockbuster season at the movies was removed by archnemesis Sinestro, along with a couple of other appendages. In case you missed it, or if you just want to watch it again, check it out below.

Geoff Johns Holding Out Hope for 'Green Lantern' Sequel

From the "we'll like what we tell you to like" style of publishing we've gotten all too used to from DC Comics of late, COO Geoff Johns told the crowd at New York Comic Con that he's hoping to see a sequel to the critically and commercially disappointing Green Lantern film.

Speaking as someone whose job security is clearly not predicated on the success of his projects, he told the audience:

"obviously, you want it to be as big as Titanic." But he added: "I hope that the character gets another film, and it will be live-action again - I guarantee."

I would consider this better  news if, like the DC Universe in the comics, he planned for major changes and recognized the film's shortcomings, but he dismissed the opinion of critics - and several audience members - that Green Lantern suffered from a lack of character development, and implied that GL2 would stay the course and follow a similar structure to the original.

Johns went on to say "There was a lot of really good stuff in the movie", and said that a lot of its best scenes were left on the cutting room floor, and that a Director's Cut DVD will vindicate his statements.
