These creative, irreverent, and generally awesome ads drive home everything that makes Lego Star Wars so great. It's always nice when creative professionals actually get, you know, creative.

Kudos to the Escola Cuca Advertising School for creating this fun campaign, with the slogan "Make Your Own Story."

I'm off to go play with my Legos for a little while now.

Damned if these ads don't work!

You know how Hollywood just can't seem to get Alan Moore right? Sure, Watchmen came close... ish. But Moore's comic book masterpieces, while seemingly ready-to-make action movie classics, tend to be cinematic abortions by the time they've made the transition from the printed page to the screen. Turns out, the missing formula was right in front of our noses all along: ditch the actors, film the damn thing with LEGO! You think I kid. Check out this mind-blowing block-o-licious interpretation of the creepiest scene from, arguably, Moore's best DC Universe work - Batman: The Killing Joke.

Lego Has Officially Become an Awesome Factory

Toymania has pics -- okay, one pic, but it has all of them -- of Lego's third series of individual mini-figures. You'll likely remember the series as the line that had the Lego luchador, Lego Mime, Lego Spartan, Lego 10th century explorer, Lego zombie, Lego disco maniac, etc. As you can see, the third series is keeping the awesome levels high with a Lego samurai, Lego Biggles, Lego grizzled fisherman, Lego sumo wrestler, Lego mummy, Lego ape, and more. But I'd like to call your attention to the figure on the second row, second from the right. Yes, your eyes do not deceive you -- it's an official Lego Douchebag. Amazing!
