It wasn't so long ago that the X--Men were the undisputed coolest team in the Marvel Universe, and Joss Whedon and John Cassday's Astonishing X-Men was the best title on the stands. Their run on the title consisted of two awesome story lines, the second of which is set for release as a motion comic DVD. Dangerous introduces Danger, current X-Club member and formerly the world's deadliest workout room. She's just that hardcore. Astonishing X-Men: Dangerous hits stores on April 10.
The big Marvel event of 2012 kicks into high gear March 28 with the release of Avengers vs. X-Men #0, written by Brian Michel Bendis and Jason Aaron and illustrated by Frank Cho.
This March, fans worldwide cannot miss the essential opener to the biggest pop culture comic event of the year as Marvel is pleased to present your first look at Avengers VS. X-Men #0! The excellent X-Men: First Class has been confirmed for a sequel, and director Matthew Vaughan will be back at the helm. There is no date or title yet (Second Class? Anyone?), but 20th Century Fox Production President Emma Watts confirmed the just-closed deal with Vaughan to Deadline. Producer Bryan Singer will be back as well, and the writer Simon Kinberg - co-producer of the beloved First Class and co-writer of the equally reviled X-Men: Last Stand - will write at least the first draft of the First Class sequel.
Want to look like Cyclops? Come on, anyone who went from Jean Grey to Emma Frost has got it going on, amirate? Well for less than thirty dollars you can at least make a pretty sweet visor. The blasts, the way with the ladies, the tendency to feud with Wolverine - you've got to supply those. Peter Sorensen has written a handy tutorial at Lounge Geeks.
It even lights up when you touch the side of the visor. Check it out, and maybe you'll have a project ready for your next con! If you make them, make sure to post a link to a pic in the comments!
Maybe the single biggest surprise since Marvel's support of the heinous SOPA bill is that Wolverine is the only one not fighting on the cover of Wolverine and the X-Men #9.
I guess when it comes to Avengers vs. X-Men, he's just a wilting lily who can't decide. That seems pretty in-character, huh?
