The leaders of the Avengers and X-Men face off and give each other nasty face looks in the latest AvX teaser. Now somebody throw a punch, or a shield, or eye blast or something!

The dirty fighting in AvX #2 continues in this teaser, in which Namor delivers a speech about his badassery to Luke Cage, who just cold cocks him. Ouchies!

Yeah, you read that right. Snappy patter is exchanged as senior citizen Rulk fights dirty on this teaser image for AvX #2.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Northstar in a baby carriage! Just kidding, that's not how it works - next comes Mephisto with the annulment! Until then, congratulations all around as Northstar and his partner Kyle are set to marry in Astonishing X-Men #51.

Bird is the word on the cover of Avengers vs. X-Men #5, as Captain America, Wolverine and Cyclops appear to take some damage from something very Phoenix-like. As for me, I'm reading a lot into one choice line from the solicit:

"all hope is lost?"

Marvel continues the promotional push for Avengers vs. X-Men #1 with another retailer-exclusive variant cover. This one is from Hastings, and it features the two teams' respective big bads facing off against one another. And taking bets on the outcome is Deadpool!

Skottie Young illustrated this awesome variant cover for Avengers vs. X-Men #1 as an exclusive for my LCS, Midtown Comics. It's two-sided free-for-all done in his signature style, including bits he's already popularized on the web like li'l baby Magneto. It's a shame Skottie wasn't there for the early days of Star Comics, I suspect they'd still be around and kicking.
