At last, a post-Smallville live action superhero pilot is making its way onto the small screen. Take a look at the first TV spot for Arrow, featuring Ollie Queen sans the 'Green' prefix, in a series based - sort of - on the comic book adventures of Green Arrow.
From the upcoming CW series Arrow, here's a first look at Green Arrow's costume, which seems to channel his '80s Longbow Hunters look, which was also featured in GA's series prior to the New 52 reboot.
Carlos D'Anada illustrates Justice League #8, which features DC's resident archer making a bid to join the team.
Artist Carlos D’Anda will be making a guest appearance on an upcoming issue of Justice League, which will still be written by Geoff Johns. D'Anda is most noted for his work on Batman: Arkham City, written by Paul Dini, which served as a bridge pulling Arkham City together with Arkham Asylum. He will be drawing issue number eight which will feature new comer Green Arrow trying to get his was in to the League, with the other members no wanting such an out spoken member. The serries regular artist, Jim Lee, will be returning for issue #9 which will be the start of a new arc titled The Villain’s Journey.

Kara and Ollie - the Brave and the uh, Finest? There's team-up action when Laura (Supergirl) Vandevoort returns to Smallville for the May 6 episode, titled "Prophecy."
Justin (Green Arrow) Hartley spoke with TV Guide about the episode, in which Oliver Queen and Kara search for a cure for the Omega symbol on Queen's skull:
"Oliver is faced with this cold reality that he's not going to be able to get rid of this infection just by willing it away. He goes on this journey to try to get rid of it."
And unfortunately, penicillin does not work on Fourth World-related illnesses.
Just ask Jimmy Olsen.
"Prophecy" airs Friday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.
In the trailer for Friday's new episode of Smallville, Clark and Green Arrow enter the Phantom Zone to find out who's been releasing criminals, only to find Zod reigning in this Kryptonian Hell and somehow they end up dressed as gladiators while he sits back and grins, suggesting the stage is set for them to battle for his amusement.
And that's why we don't bring guests to the Phantom Zone! Oh Clark, when you gonna learn?
The new Smallville episode, "Dominion," airs Friday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.

I think Gail Simone's a little sick of hearing how awesome her comics are. So Gail, allow me to take a moment to mention that your animated teleplays are freakin' hysterical as well. Last week's episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold featured one of the many teams Gail's well-known for writing, The Birds of Prey, performing a little number in which they rate the sexy score of the DCU characters as portrayed in the Brave and the Bold-verse - musically. No punches are pulled. Gah if only the Spider-Man musical had a prayer of being anywhere near this good - but then again, U2 aren't going to be making fun of Aquaman's weenis, so really Spidey just doesn't stand a chance.
Even by the high standards of this seriously underrated show, this was an instant classic.
(Spoiler alert: The Flash and and Green Arrow take it on the chin pretty hard in this number too.)
