It's the weekend, which means it's time for the digital comics sales to begin. ComiXology is celebrating the February 28 release of Justice League: Doom with a sale on comics featuring the Justice League and their most notorious bad guys. Beginning tomorrow (February 25), 67 titles, including Mark Waid and Howard Porter's original 'Tower of Babel' storyline that is the basis for Doom will be available for $0.99. Other noteworthy titles on sale include Waid and Barry Kitson's Justice League: Year One, and Justice by Alex Ross, Jim Kreuger and Doug Braithwaite.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics are on sale through midnight Sunday, February 19, from Dark Horse Digital Comics. Buffy Season 8 issues #16-#20 are discounted to $0.99, and bundles are also available at discounted prices. Check out to https://digital.darkhorse.com/genre/43/ for the bargain slayage.

The second issue of The Avengers Prelude: Fury's Big Week, which bridges the gap between the events of Marvel movies like Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Avengers, is now available.

Dark Horse Comics is celebrating the February 8 launch of the new Conan the Barbarian series from Brian Wood and Becky Cloonan with a sale on digital Conan titles. Single issues are $0.99, while bundles of mini-series including Book of Toth, Demons of Khitai and Songs of the Dead are available as well. The Dark Horse Digital Conan sale is online now through tomorrow (February 5).

Today marks a milestone for digital comics as IDW Publishing launches Transformers: Autocracy, the first ever exclusively digital Transformers comic.

DW Publishing proudly announces a new digital comics event five million years in the making: TRANSFORMERS: Autocracy. Released exclusively on digital platforms, this 12-part series will be released on multiple digital platforms as 8-page chapters every two weeks starting January 18th and running through June. Each episode will be priced at 99¢.

TRANSFORMERS: Autocracy has ties to the two new TRANSFORMERS comics series based on the iconic TRANSFORMERS brand from Hasbro and launching this month, Robots in Disguise and More Than Meets the Eye. “Those series look to the future,” said IDW Senior Editor John Barber, “but they have strong ties to the past. And Autocracy fills in some of the gaps in that past by telling one of the most important stories to ever appear in TRANSFORMERS comics.”

Metzen is joined by co-writer Flint Dille, a fan-favorite for his work on the original TRANSFORMERS animated series.
