A challenge from Curt Connors is a recurring theme in this Japanese trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man, featuring new footage, subtitles, and a narrative that suggests this first installment of Marc Webb's rebooted Spider-Man franchise is going to be a journey of self-discovery for Peter Parker.
In some of the coolest Marvel movie news that's not about The Avengers, Kevin Feige appears to have the Guardians of the Galaxy on the brain. Here's a nugget from a recent interview with the Marvel Studios president:
I think whether it's Ant-Man, or Dr. Strange, or The Inhumans, or The Guardians of the Galaxy... We are very excited about bringing things like that, maybe things exactly like that, to the screen. [...] When you tell people, you know what would be really cool? This movie, and there's a raccoon, and there's a tree... And they go, 'What?' And people like you know what it is, and get excited. And the majority of people go, 'Did you say a raccoon and a tree?' 'Oh yeah, they're going to steal the whole movie. They're hilarious.' 'Okay, I'll believe it when I see it.' I like that.
So, clearly, he's been thinking about this for a while. As a big fan of cosmic Marvel, I'd be very excited to see a Guardians movie, and my fingers are crossed.

Well, I'm certainly a fan of Rhys Ifans and I think that in theory The Amazing Spider-Man cinematic reboot of the Spider-Man movie franchise is a good thing. That said, The Lizard doesn't look too interesting to me just yet. Of course the same could have been said about Bane in early images from The Dark Knight Rises, and I've come to think that he'll probably be a pretty awesome villain so the same could hold true here. Here are two new images of The Lizard as we'll see him in The Amazing Spider-Man; mouth open, and lunging forward menacingly. What are your thoughts?
Every team needs a captain, but there's only one team that gets Captain America. That's the takeaway from this latest TV spot for The Avengers, which shows off Cap's leadership abilities, as well as getting his hands dirty with some back alley shield slinging and a little bit of base jumping.
