Christopher Meloni Joins 'Man of Steel' Cast

Superman's long-term cinematic future is murky for legal reasons, but Superman: Man of Steel is shaping up to be awesome indeed, if we're judging by its increasingly impressive cast. After casting Russell Crowe as Jor-El and courting Jule Ormond for the role of Superman's birth mother Lara, the film's latest addition is Christopher Meloni.

Deadline announced Meloni's casting today, though it's not known what role he will be playing. Speculation has of course been rampant, with most (including me) believing it's either going to be Perry White or Lex Luthor.
