America: 'Tron Guy' Does Not Have Talent

America's Got Talent is not so much a television show as it is a horrifying commentary on society, as three narcissistic judges who are famous for reasons having little if anything to do with talent, decide whether to fill the gaping void in contestants' self-esteem by determining that they do, in fact, have talent.

Sad to say, Jay "Tron Guy" Maynard's sad-sack Seinfeld routine "you ever dress up in spandex and milk it for 20 years and still not get laid? WHAT IS THE DEAL with that?" did not pass muster with luminaries like Sharon Osbourne, to say nothing of a rabid audience that conjures memories of the crazy Nazi dream sequences from The Wall.

The entire display is every bit as surreal as Tron, and as depressing as Tron: Legacy.

'Tron: Legacy' Finds New Life as Digital Graphic Novel

In keeping with the futuristic theme of the story, Tron: Legacy has been adapted into an online graphic novel that maximises the flexibility of new web standards to create a very new kind of comics experience.

Via Fast Company:

Disney has partnered with Microsoft and tech-design firm Vectorform to create the Tron: Legacy graphic novel, one of the first HTML5 graphic novels made by a major brand. We're used to seeing PDF ports from the media industry--articles and graphics simply copy and pasted from print. But Disney and other startups like FlipBoard are more and more trying to sex up boring old print designs with sleeker digital UIs.

Tron: The Next Day Bridges the Gap to 'Legacy'

Twenty years is a long time to wait between sequels, but Tron: Legacy was situated to make the transition because 1982's original Tron was so very ahead of its time.

That said, there were some unanswered questions that puzzled moviegoers and irked critics. Like, what the holy Hell happened after Flynn disappeared at the end of the first movie?

Actually, the comic Tron: Betrayal covers some of that territory, so I was especially surprised that it didn't make it into Legacy. Apparently - supposedly, anyway - that information was in fact committed to film, but for some reason ended up on the cutting room floor. And that's why we don't edit while on acid, kids.

Tron: The Next Day - Flynn Lives Revealed will be included as an extra feature in the Tron: Legacy DVD and  Blu-ray releases due on April 5, but why wait? Check out the video above and find out what just what went down with Flynn.

The Tron Lebowski

At long last, The Dude abides on The Grid! Like Iragi Tron, this is another reminder of how much better Tron: Legacy could have been if it had the humor and ingenuity to match its budget.

Can you believe they peed on his effing motherboard? That motherboard really tied the room together, man.

Tron Light Cycle Now Street Legal [PICS]

via Mashable!

If you’ve been lusting after one of those light cycles from Tron: Legacy ever since you saw that movie last year, now there’s a street legal version available for purchase.

This won’t be exactly like those light cycles you saw on the silver screen, though. Hammacher Schlemmer says the bike is “designed for casual cruising and slow ride-bys at shows.” Looking at its specs, it’s not inherently slow. After all, it’s packing a 996cc Suzuki four-stroke engine, not the biggest motorcycle engine in the world, but if it were properly modified like the Ducati 996, it could still power this crotch rocket to some impressive speeds.

“Tron” Gaming Mouse Glows Like a Light Cycle

via Mashable!

Here’s a gaming mouse that will make you feel like you’re driving a light cycle in the movie Tron: Legacy.

Not only does this ambidextrous pointing device from Razer look like some sort of implement from the far-off future; it sounds like one, too.

TRON cat is not happy about being on the grid

Poor cats - once worshipped by pharaohs, they're now just a prop for our Internet posts.

Except for Comics Cavern kitteh, who gets lavished with treats and cuddles all year round. And then there's TRON cat.
