On the Spider-Man Set with Peter Parker and Curt Connors

An enterprising fan snapped this pic of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) with Professor Curt "The Lizard" Connors (Rhys Ifans), shooting a scene for The Amazing Spider-Man. Ifans is sporting a greenscreen sock on his hand, so that CGI artists can remove the limb in post-production. It's the loss of his arm that leads Connors to experiment with lizards, and - well, you know. It ends rather poorly.

Over the past several weeks we've seen quite a few leaked set photos of both Andrew Garfield and various stuntmen in Spider-Man costume, leading to fan speculation, criticism and more than a little giggling (stupid sexy Spidey)!

Well, in addition to announcing the film's official title, The Amazing Spider-Man, Sony has released an official picture of Spider-Man in the new suit, looking more broody and less Flanders-y.

'The Amazing Spider-Man' Now Title of Spider-Man Reboot, Plus New Image

Today, Sony Pictures simultaneously announced the title of the upcoming Spider-Man reboot (now called 'The Amazing Spider-Man') while releasing a brand-new image of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man. After several on-set images of Spider-Man in costume had leaked, this first image of the full Spider-Man costume (mask on and all) looks pretty good.
