Speaking in the most recent episode of Nerdist Podcast, which posted today, Nathan Fillion responded to writer/director David O. Russell's decision not to cast him in the upcoming Uncharted film, praising Mark Wahlberg and defending the director's freedom.

"You know I would love to have an Indiana Jones for me, that’s one of my greatest heroes of all time. You can’t fault a man for A. working with someone he’s worked with before, B. Mark Wahlberg, I think that’s a talented guy. I think he does great work, that guy and he a huge international star, which I am not. I am not. I will be," said Fillion.

A couple days ago Nathan Fillion made this statement: "If I got $300 million from the California Lottery, the first thing I would do is buy the rights to Firefly, make it own my own, and distribute it on the Internet." And with those words, the movement was started. Already the internet is rallying a crowd-funded movement to get Fillion his ship back.

Nathan Fillion has been cast as the next Green Lantern ... wait, what?

Don't worry, fans: Fillion (Firefly) is not taking over for Ryan Reynolds in the second Green Lantern movie, assuming that the first one—due out this summer—is a monster hit. Instead, TV Guide reports that Fillion will voice the role of Green Lantern Hal Jordan in the new animated DC movie, Green Lantern: Emerald Nights, due out on DVD on June 7th.

Ooooh douche chill. My hopes for this movie have plummeted even further - at this point I'm thinking we're looking at Tomb Raider without the boobies to distract from the plodding pace and lack of story.

I know, I know, it's early.

But "Nathan who?"  Seriously?  So you're the guy who was watching 60 Minutes while the rest of the world was watching Doctor Horrible, huh, Russell?

Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk couldn't make it to Dragon*Con, but that didn't stop them from calling in to the Firefly panel and harassing Summer Glau, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher and Morena Baccarin.
