Avenging Spider-Man #6 Preview

Marvel's 'Omega Effect' mini-event kicks off in Avenging Spider-Man #6 from writer Mark Waid and artist Marco Checchetto, in stores April 11.

"The Omega Effect" begins here, bringing together Marvel's three biggest heroes from the most acclaimed new books of the year! Spider-Man, Daredevil and Punisher in an epic chase across Manhattan for a mysterious treasure that will change the course of all their lives.

Amazing Spider-Man Viral Video

I think you hear him knocking, Spider-Man, and I think he's coming to arrest ya! Denis Leary channels the best intentions and the dumbest talking points of the real life NYPD as Captain Stacy in this viral video for The Amazing Spider-Man.

New 'Ultimate Spider-Man' Trailer

Spider-Man channels The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in this latest trailer for the upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. Which is to say, his life gets flipped, turned upside-down. Also, he fights Iron Man, which Will Smith did not do - although that would have been awesome.

Ultimate Spider-Man premieres April 1 on Disney XD.

New 'Ultimate Spider-Man' Promo Trailer

Marvel has released this new promo for the upcoming animated series Ultimate Spider-Man, which along with season 2 of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes will anchor the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD beginning April 1. Like the recently released clips from the premiere episode, this trailer combines Spectacular Spider-Man type action with comedy and art style reminiscent of Cartoon Network's Teen Titans.

Ultimate Spider-Man Food Fights the Frightful Four

In these new clips from the upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, Peter gets awfully expository as he thinks through how to defeat an attack by the Frightful Four at the school cafeteria. And for all his monologuing, he comes up with - a food fight? Well, I guess that's why he's going to have Nick Fury to teach him the ropes of this whole power/responsibility thing.

Stan Lee is a Playable Character in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Game

Stan Lee has parlayed his comics fame into multimedia success, including a reality show and a cameo in just about every Marvel movie. Now he's taking his smiling face and boundless enthusiasm to the realm of video games, as he says that he'll be a playable character in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man game.

What exactly that means isn't clear, though I'm betting its going to be something along the lines of an unlockable skin. Maybe a pre-order incentive that will later be available to purchase, the sort of thing we saw a great deal of in superhero games last year. While we don't know the specifics, it is pretty awesome. Here's Stan dropping the news to a reporter at the London Super Comic Convention.

New 'Amazing Spider-Man' Trailer - Enter Rhino!

As if The Lizard weren't enough, Spider-Man goes up against the scariest looking version of The Rhino I've seen yet in this trailer for the new Amazing Spider-Man game.

Unlike all of the other cross-species, which were created after Curt Connors terrorized the city as the Lizard, Rhino was the result of a pet project belonging to a corrupt Oscorp executive with access to Connors’ research. Abusing this access, he applied this top-secret knowledge to black-market dealings.

Without the knowledge or consent of his superiors at Oscorp, the executive forcefully enlisted the help of Dr. Michael Morbius, threatening to end the reclusive biochemist’s career if he refused to help. Morbius reluctantly complied, applying the rhinoceros DNA with which the executive supplied him to a cross-species serum similar in nature to Connors’ own for the Lizard.

The Amazing Spider-Man game picks up immediately after the events of the upcoming movie, so we'll likely be meeting several villains who weren't in the film - but who we can hope will appear in future sequels. The game hits stores on June 26, 2012.
