Daredevil is one of Marvel's biggest critical success stories of the year, rising from the ashes of an ill-fated event (Shadowland), only to relaunch under the expert guidance of Mark Waid. Waid has stayed true to the many incarnations of DD, from Stan Lee to Frank Miller to Brian Bendis and all points in between, all while finding new ways to express his powers and his handicap, and injecting a desperately needed dose of fun back into the title. Between Waid's writing and the spectacular art of Paolo Rivera, this is my favorite run on Daredevil in years and it looks as though things are poised to only get better.
Speaking of looks, check out Paolo Rivera's cover to the upcoming Daredevil #10, which sees DD going up against the Mole Man and, um, not faring particularly well. What is it with the Mole Man and the Moloids suddenly popping up all over the place? Not that I'm not a fan, it's just surprising is all. Daredevil certainly looks surprised, doesn't he?
