Boondocks: Old-School Bird Flu

Lest you thought last night's Boondocks episode, "Fried Chicken Flu", was the the first time the specter of a finger-lickin', frightening pandemic haunted Woodcrest, here's a little reminder that Huey was warning of a crispy-fried Captain Trips  seasoned with the Colonel's original recipe way back when the Adult Swim powerhouse was just an awesome newspaper strip (think Bloom County meets Public Enemy, sans Flavor Flav and Opus).

Mind you, this was before we knew how terrible and unprepared FEMA really was.  The lesson here is, when it comes to disaster preparedness, listen to Huey.

He even had enough sense to migrate from print to animation before newspapers found themselves staring down their own extinction event.

Just curious - am I the only one who had nightmares about Uncle Ruckus' Road Warrior costume?

I've been given an advance copy of the Weeds Season Six premiere episode - on a night with new eps of True Blood and Boondocks on the schedule.
