Preview: Forbes' Steve Jobs Bio Graphic Novel
Forbes has teamed with creative agency JESS3 for a graphic novel titled The Zen of Steve Jobs, about Steve's years in Apple exile. Mac fans and those of us who have been following tech news for a couple of decades and watched it play out live all know the story. Jobs left Apple, started a computer company called NeXT, and created the foundations of what would become OSX.
He returned to Apple with the magic elixer, and 4 iPhones later we can barely remember Michael Dell saying that if he were the CEO of Apple he would "shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders."
The years in between tying the narrative together are the focus of The Zen of Steve Jobs, which jumps back and forth in time to tell the story of how Jobs came full circle. Forbes' Caleb Melby describes these preview pages:
These pages are set in 1986 at the Tassajara Zen Mountain Center in California. Kobun teaches Steve kinhin, a walking meditation, and alludes to Steve’s quest to understand ma. I’m not trying to spoil anything, but that’s something of a central theme throughout the book.
