Oh Sweet Lord, Really? Another Spidey Identity Crisis Teased

This promotional image for Amazing Spider-Man #673 teases a familiar refrain, as the lower half of a young man's face is seen speaking the words "I'm Spider-Man." Whether it's Peter, a pretender to the throne, or a - gulp! - clone, I'm both intrigued to see where this is going. Dan Slott has excelled during his run on Amazing at keeping the character true to his roots while not getting locked into the pattern of repeating familiar stories. The "Spider Island" event not, in my opinion, his finest hour, but if it ends with an original twist on the Spider-Man identity reveal - a theme that has been used and abused repeatedly over the past couple of decades - it could be either a triumph or a disaster. Either way, it will get fans talking.

Here's Marvel's solicitation for Amazing Spider-Man #673, in sotres November 2:

It’s the morning after for New York City. See how everything has changed for Peter Parker and the spider-crew now that he’s once again the world’s only Spider-Man… or is he?

So what do you think is going on here? Is Peter talking to MJ? Aunt May? Holding a press conference with a stern looking Tony Stark standing behind him? Or is this all just so that he can open a Google Plus account?
