Viewtiful Joe Destroys the Marvel Universe!

Wow.

I recently reported on the addition of Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu to the ever-growing roster of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

Well, lest you think that Joe's small stature is a handicap, check out this awesome clip of him in action, laying the smack down on Hulk, Wolverine, Super-Skrull, Spider-Man and Deadpool!

Damn, but that little guy's tough.  Also - check out that sweet gameplay footage!  Man, I  cannot wait for MvC3 to hit stores in Spring 2011.

In the meantime, I'll be watching for more character announcements, gameplay art and sweet videoclips like this one, and I promise I'll post 'em here on the Cavern as soon as I find them.

(Hint, hint, Marvel and Capcom PR people - free publicity, right here! Send me some stuff to plug!)

The Smackdown to end all smackdowns: Dormammu vs. Viewtiful Joe!

That's right, two new characters have been announced for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3: The Fate of Two Worlds - the Dread Dormammu and Viewtiful Joe!

With every new piece of information leaked about this game, I just get that much more psyched for this game.  Good show, PR people!  You've succeeded in getting me all hot and bothered over a video game.

Hope you're happy.

Here's a shot of Dormammu hangin' with his evil homies:

And check out Viewtiful Joe in action - he doesn't care if it's Bucky or Steve Rogers under that Star-Spangled spandex - he just knows he's beatin' dat ass down!

Cap should have known better than to underestimate the spunk and tenacity of the little guy. That's what the American spirit is all about!

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is set to hit stores in Spring 2011.  Expect more anticipation-building announcements while we wait!

"Blade Kitten" Leaps From Comics To Game

via Comic Book Resources

These days, hearing that a popular comic has been adapted into a video game is not at all uncommon, and in most cases, the comic creator and game designer are not one and the same. However, that's the case with "Blade Kitten," the brainchild of Krome Studios' Creative Director, Steve Stamatiadis. "Blade Kitten's" stretch back to 2001, and after developing the universe through comics over that stretch of time, Stamatiadis' creation will finally arrive in game form next month.

Suicide Squad Video Game!!

Be still mah beatin' heart!  Seriously, not to spoil the Geoff Johns clip from the good folks over at Comic Book Resources, but the words "hardcore violent" and "John Ostrander" are used.

I'm gonna go exercise my joystick hand right now.  You can go ahead and feel free to interpret that any way you like.
