'Star Wars Begins' Raises the Bar for Fan-Made Documentaries

YouTube user jambedavdar posted the above video clip in 2007, announcing it as  the "trailer for my soon to be released Star Wars project."

So, maybe "soon to be" was overreaching, but quality work takes time, and the just-released 'Star Wars Begins' is a documentary of astonishing quality. It sets a new standard not just for fan-made documentaries, but documentary films period, be they made by a guy with a MacBook Pro or a huge film studio with a trailer set up at Skywalker Ranch.

Star Wars Begins is must-see material, and should be a career-making moment for jambedavdar, who needs to be working in the film industry, or at the very least making shorts for starwars.com.

Check out part one of Star Wars Begins below, and the many, many other chapters are available on jambedavdar's YouTube channel. Apparently there's a DVD in the works as well, I'll keep you posted on that.
